- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the chopped onion and ground beef over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender.
- Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, and chili powder.
- Add the kidney beans, brown beans, and tomato soup.
- Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot with shredded cheese, sour cream, corn chips, or cornbread.
