- 1 Cup Pitted Date
- 1 Cup Mixed Nuts
- 6 Tbsp Cocoa
- 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1 Tsp Salt

- Line an 8-inch square pan or loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Place dates in a food processor and pulse until they form a stick paste. (alternatively place dates in a dish with hot water until softened, approximately 10 minutes, drain off excess water)
- Pulse the nuts and cocoa in a food processor until they become a sand like texture.
- Add the nuts and cocoa mixture into the softened / pulsed dates.
- Mix until completely combined.
- Press firmly into the prepared pan.
- Refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Optional Chocolate Topping:
- 1/2 cup melted chocolate chips / 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Melt together and spread over prepared brownies.
- Chill until chocolate sets.
